The Topkapi Palace (“Palace of the Cannon Gate”) is one of the most popular tourist attraction to visit, Istanbul, Turkey. The palace was built in between 1466 – 1478 by one of the Ottoman Sultans who is Sultan Mehmet II.
Topkapi Palace (Turkish: Topkapı Sarayı) is located on the Sarayburnu (Seraglio), a promontory overlooking the Golden Horn and the Marmara Sea, with the Bosphorus in plain sight from many points of the palace.
Sections of the palace: Imperial Gate, Second Courtyard (Council Square), Third Courtyard (Enderun Courtyard), Fourth Courtyard (Sofa-i Hümayun), Harem.
Admission to Topkapi Palace is charged in Turkish Lira and credit card.
Ticket : 20 TL (around $13 / GBP 8 ) 15 TL to the Harem. (01.03.2011). Harem : Additional ticket is required. Harem entrance ticket is 15TL. The Harem is open to visit between 09:00 AM – 05.00 PM .
Visit Days: All days (except for Tuesdays) between 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM.
